Bourbon Brown Sugar Chicken
You need the sweetness of the bourbon here to help complement the naturally clean flavor of the boneless skinless chicken breasts. Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar intensify this experience. To make an Only sauce, combine all the ingredients in a blender and pulse a couple of times to thoroughly combine. Pour the mixture into a medium saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir continuously until the sauce is heated through, but do not allow it come to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat. Use the sauce immediately as you like, or, if reserving for a later use, allow the mixture to cool, then pour it into a large bottle or container and store, tightly covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 year.
- In a zip-top freezer bag, combine the sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Place the chicken in the bag, turning to coat. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Heat a charcoal grill or gas grill to medium heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken uncovered for 6 to 7 minutes per side, until cooked through. Serve and enjoy!
